“Insight into Europe’s Forest Protection”, WWF report

A comprehensive overview on the state of European temperate forests by WWF, entitled “Insight into Europe’s Forest Protection”. The report draws upon the UNEP-WCMC European Forests and Protected Areas: Gap Analysis study, that shows that only 6.3% of Europe’s forests are protected. Despite this seemingly inadequate protection, WWF’s report suggests that Europe still has priceless remnants of natural, old-growth forests teeming with life.
